MARCH 2010:
St Peter & Paul, CHERRY WILLINGHAM and St Peter & Paul, REEPHAM
For our March meeting we visited Cherry Willingham where group
member Norman Walker guided us round his local church. This
church, built in 1753, is a very fine Georgian building said to be
the most dignified in Lincolnshire. There is a large monument to
Thomas Becke erected in 1757 who was responsible for building this
church.

We
then moved on to Reepham where our guide was Graham Beaumont. Much
of this church was rebuilt in the mid nineteenth century but there is
some medieval work in the interior.
