FEBRUARY 2011:
Croft Street Baptist, LINCOLN and St Hugh (Catholic), LINCOLN
In February we visit the Baptist church in Croft Street Lincoln which was built in 1978. We had an excellent guard who explained the history of the Baptists in Lincoln.
We then moved on to St Hugh’s Roman Catholic church in Monks Road. After refreshments and a résumé of the history of this church built in 1893 which has recently been redecorated Mary Wilford pointed out the most interesting features. These included several nice stained glass windows circa 1909.

We had excellent guides to both churches and a record number of visitors (26). Two very different churches and a most enjoyable day.
